C & D Hughes, Inc. has been performing quality road construction work since 1980. Starting out as a small dirt contractor, C & D Hughes, Inc. quickly became known for their quality workmanship and integrity. C & D Hughes, Inc. joined the Michigan Department of Transportation's DBE/WBE/MBE program when it was in its beginning stages. Over the years, C & D Hughes, Inc quickly became synonymous with hardwork, reliability and excellence. The owner, Cheryl Hughes, is known throughout the industry as a dedicated, honest and dependable fixture within the construction community. Her commitment to safety and workmanship has been recognized by state and federal organizations.

Through the years our company has been both a general contractor and subcontractor for a variety of jobs from small local government jobs to multi-million dollar state jobs.

Our company not only performs site grading and aggregate base, but also installs drainage structures, culverts, storm/sanitary/water main pipe and services. Our crews work on pipe at depths up to 30 feet and have put in structures up 120 inches in diameter.
